My appreciation for
the sea has created a desire to always be
near it, if not in it. One day, I was combing
a beach off the coast of Maine and was literally
awe struck by a sea weathered, sun bleached,
salt cured piece of driftwood. It was magnificently
detailed and coated in a subtle silvery
wash that accentuated its intricacies. I
was struck by the beauty of the piece and
by its limitless potential. It would become
both my muse and my medium. I deeply relate
to something that has traveled and been
transformed by the elements over time. There
is a mystery ingrained in every piece...
